Possible Faults 

The MIC6 ignition controllers include several safety functions that can shut down the engine in 
case of fault:

Overspeed protection

Causes of Faults 

10.2.1

 

Overspeed 

The engine speed has exceeded the set overspeed value. As of firmware version 1.1.00000, an 
operating error caused by overspeed is indicated on the device by the status LED flashing four 
times (4 times red/off 250 ms, 750 ms off). Refer to the section 

LED Functions

 on page 29. 

Potential Causes

Speed controller does not function properly

Fuel supply to engine is not optimal.

Faulty pickup signal
