Angle
Directly Overhead
(90° Elevation)
Signals from satellites that are obstructed by objects on the horizon such as mountains may provide
inconsistent GNSS coverage due to interference. The mask angle threshold setting provides a method to
filter out these inconsistent signals ensuring the GridTime 3000 only uses stable and accessible satellites.
By default the mask angle is set to 5 degrees, which means that only satellites with an elevation of 5° or more
will be used for time synchronization.
For a different mask angle, type a value into the 'MASK ANGLE' textbox between 0° and 90°.
