5.4.8 Twine binding
DANGER
In the twine binding, there are two cutting
blades, always use the anti-cut gloves and pay
lot of attention when working on the twine
binding.
The twine binding is not recommended in case of
collection of very short materials and when using
a cutting device (CUT version).
The twine binding can contains 4 coils having the
following dimensions:

Outer diameter max 250 mm

Height max 270 mm
The twine binder binds the twine forming a spiral
around the bale (Figure 10). The winding is
performed using the rotation of the bale inside the
chamber and the movement of the two carts in the
longitudinal direction. Each cart is powered by a
coil. The coil in use can be linked to a spare one:
in this way when the first coil is fished, the twine of
the second coil will enter the binder without
having to repeat the operation of twine passage.
So in the tray placed under the binding there will
be two supply coils (one for each cart) and two
spare coils.
To set the machine to the twine binding it is
necessary to:
1) Place the 2 coils (A, fig. 28) and the two
spare coils (B, fig. 28).
2) Tie the end of the principal twine to the
head of the spare coil as indicated in
section 4.7 (Fig. 28), then pass the tied
twine through the guide-rings.
3) Twines have to pass inside the driving
bush, come out from the frame and curve
inwards across the twine-brake (C pic.
28), then the twine that come out from the
front driving bush has to be wrapped
around one of the 4 diameter of the
driving force pulley (D pic. 28). The
twines now have to curve inwards across
the driven bushings that go to the twine
sliding rollers (pic. 29).

4) Slightly open the dragging rollers using
the levers A in Fig. 29, then insert the
twine in the guide bushes for a length of
approx. 15 cm.

5) To avoid the operation of twine passage,
it is recommended to move the spare coil
in the feeding position before this ends, in
this way it is possible to place a new
spare coil linking to the one in use as
indicated above.
6) Through the adjustments of the twine
binding, it is possible to modify:


8-11 cm)
