5.1 BEFORE USE
WARNING
Before starting up the machine, the user must
make sure that the deputy operator has read,
memorized and understood all the parts of this
manual and particularly “Chapter 2 – safety
and prevention”.
The operator must check the integrity of the
machine with no damages, and that the level
of all the lubricating oils is correct and that all
the wearing parts are completely efficient.

Check the tightness of the screws of the
fixing

Check the condition of guards, safety
devices and warning signs on the machine

Make sure all the transmissions elements
and the bearings are lubricated

Check the correct tires pressure

Check the status of the pick-up, the draw bar
and the power supply, in case of scratches,
cuts, or locks they have to be repaired before
use.

Operate the machine for a few minutes
empty to be able to check the correct
operation

Start the PTO at low engine speeds and
open and close the door a few times

Make sure there are no leaks of oil or
lubricant

Turn off the tractor and check the condition
of the machine
The procedure described above must be
carried out whenever the machine is inactive
for a long time.
WARNING
The adjustment and preparation for start up,
must be carried out when the machine is
turned off and blocked.
5.1.1 Work position
DANGER
With the machine running, the operator MUST
be seated in the driver's seat, because only
from there he can act properly.
Before leaving the driver's seat, he must stop the
machine, engage the parking brake, turn off the
tractor and remove the key from the control panel.
5.2 MACHINE PREDISPOSITION
5.2.1. Draw bar adjustment
The drawbar of the baler can be adjusted in
height to be connected to different tractors on the
market. The height of the draw bar can be
adjusted from 38 to 110 cm following the
instructions:
1) Make sure that the standing foot is set firmly
on the ground and that there are no obstacles
around the area of the draw bar; bring the
tractor out of the working area.
2) Support the drawbar through the appropriate
equipment (logs or ropes) so that it does not
fall after its loosening
3) Loosen the nuts on both sides of the draw bar
so that you can adjust it (fig. 12).

4) Lift the draw bar to the height needed. The
draw bar can be adjusted with inclinations
varying with a step of 5 degrees. The height
can be set as shown in the table below.
