5.3.1 Machine clogging
During the working phase it may occur that the
incoming material gets stuck in the collection
and/or feeding devices, causing a blockage (or
clogging).
The material collected in the feed unit may cause
the block of the mechanical parts (pick-up, auger
or rotor), but in any case you should follow the
instructions below.
Should this eventuality occur, the round baler is
equipped with an anti-clogging device that allows,
by dropping the bottom floor, the release the rotor
from the exceeding material (see chapter controls
5.4.4).
WARNING
In case of clogging, it is strictly forbidden to
clean the baler with the tractor on.
In case the anti-clogging system is insufficient to
carry out the cleaning of the collection chamber, it
is necessary to:
1) Eventually open the rear door and
discharge the bale.
2) Remove the PTO, stop the tractor,
engage the parking brake and remove the
key from the control panel.
3) Wait till all the moving parts are
completely stopped.
4) Wear suitable protection gloves.
5) Remove the stuck material using a
suitable tool.
In case of clogging in the harvesting unit, it is
often useful to disassemble the baffle plate to
decompress the material. The baffle plate of
DIAVEL 630 is equipped with a quick release
system which allows to disassemble it in short
time (Fig. 20, B).
5.3.2 Ladder and stand
The machine is equipped, in the front, with a
stand accessible by a ladder, which allows an
easy access to the net binder to carry out the
operations of inspection and passage of the net.
The loading operation of the coil on the binder can
be performed without the use of the ladder by
placing the coil in the space dedicated to the
reserve coils and then pushing it into the
compartment of use (fig. 23).
The ladder can be positioned low for use and then
folded upwards before start working with the
machine, simply by acting the release button (fig.
18).

5.4 REGULATIONS AND CONTROLS
Before operating any control of the baler, make
sure the area around is clear, and there are no
people or animals that may come into contact with
the machine or with the material processed.
The majority of the controls of the round baler are
given through the terminal located in the tractor
cab. However, there are some functions that must
be operated by devices located in different
positions.
5.4.1 Adjustment of the collection unit
(pick-up)
The pick-up can be used with suitable wheels or
can be supported by hydraulic cylinders.
When you are using the wheels, the pick-up
follows the morphology of the soil, thus ensuring a
better collection. In order to move with the pick-up
on the ground, we suggest to maintain the related
distributor in a floating position, that is with the
center open.
But when the ground conditions are rough and
there are cultural residuals that may affect the
wheels or the pick-up,
it’s better to keep the pick-
up lifted up by the hydraulic cylinders.
CAUTION
Before getting close to the machine, make
sure that the PTO is turned off, the tractor is
turned off with the parking brake on and the
ignition key is switched off from the control
panel.
