4.1 GENERAL GUIDELINES
The round baler DIAVEL 630, DIAVEL 630 CUT,
when connected to a tractor, can perform the
collection of harvesting products laid on windows.
The product is conveyed inside the machine and
pressed
in bales of cylindrical shape.
Successively the bale is bound and ejected from
the round baler.
Each working phase of the round baler is carried
out from one or more specific devices:

Material harvesting: pick-up e crop guard

Covey inside the chamber: lateral cochlea and
rotor.

Bale formation: Rollers of the pressing
chamber

Bale pressing: Rollers and rear door
cylinders

Binding: Twine or net binder

Bale unload: Door and ejector
The bale pressing level is adjustable within the
machine parameters.
The DIAVEL 630 CUT version can also cut the
entering products.
Bales that have been formed inside the chamber,
must be bound in order to remain well packed up
once unloaded. The round baler can realize a
twine, net binding.
The features and preparation of the product and
soil, can vary remarkably the round baler
performances.
Before harvesting, make sure the humidity
percentage of the product is the right one, in order
to avoid useless loss.
For the compression of bales of uniform density
and their storage, the best results are obtained
having a humidity of approx. 20% for the hay and
approx. 40% - 55% for the silage.
The best results are obtained by an windrow 1.10
mt width and 0.30 ÷0.40 mt high, both to avoid
products loss, as well as to allow a good bailing. If
the windrow is low and width, then the bale comes
out better.
4.2 HARVESTING STARTING
Before proceeding with harvesting make sure to
have set the machine to work properly (follow
instructions of chap. 5).
Depending on the windrow and on the type of soil,
modify the regulation of the crop guard and of the
pick-up (chap. 5). Make sure the pick-up teeth
don’t touch the ground causing a transmission
overloading and harmful entry of ground together
with the forage.
Keep the PTO at 540 rpm.
Harvesting speed varies depending on the
windrow dimensions and ground bumps. If the
windrow is correctly prepared
it’s possible to move
at a speed of approx. 12-14 Km/h.
It is necessary to look at the pick-up and adapt
harvesting speed to the type of windrow to avoid
clogging problems or low work of the pick-up.
The product must enter constantly.

4.5 FEEDING PROCEDURE
