Remove
To remove the exit transport module, follow these steps:
1)
Because you will be working near the tipper, allow the tipper heater enough time to cool below 50°C
so it is not too hot to touch. Cooling can take up to 15 minutes, so begin the service appointment with
work away from the tipper heater.
2)
Prepare the device for replacing parts by following the steps in section
Device for Removing / Re-installing Modules
. At the end, the device should be powered down with
all external cables safely disconnected and the hopper shuttle parked near the front of the device.

Remove the tipper module. For detailed steps, see section

Locate the multi-connector panel in the top deck plate, to the left of the exit transport. Use a slotted
screwdriver or equivalent to pry the sides of the exit transport connector out of the plug, then gently
disconnect it. Avoid pulling directly on the wires.
5)
If you are replacing the exit transport in an ExpressCard 3000, disconnect the foil sensor (
a)
For easier access, you may disconnect the embosser cable then re-connect it after re-installing.
b)
Find the foil sensor on the top front of the exit transport.
c)
Follow its cable down the front left corner of the module to a cable clip on the top deck.
d)
Unclip the cable and follow it further to the connector.
e)
Disconnect the cable.
