and open menu item

to confirm the deletion.

Use the touchscreen to double-tap
MagtekEC Copy
to show a
MagtecEC Copy Properties
window, and edit the text at the top of the window to rename the printer to
MagtekEC
, then press
the
OK
button to save the change.

Press the power button to power down the device.

Disconnect the keyboard and re-install the right side access door.

Install the original printer ribbon, or obtain and install a new image printer ribbon from the customer.

Press the power button to power on the device.

On the touchscreen, open
Menu

Settings
>
Printer
and make sure the page shows the image
printer’s name and serial number. This confirms the ExpressCard is able to communicate with the
image printer properly.

On the touchscreen, open
Menu

Settings
>
Printer
>
Advanced
, and press the
Restore
Settings…
button, then press the
OK
button. Make sure the device reports
Printer settings have
been restored
, then press the
OK
button to close the window.

Configure the image printer ribbon following the steps provided in

. This is very important because it also re-initializes
ExpressCard’s connection to the image printer.
