Locate the Ethernet jack on the rear of the device, shown in
Figure 5-168 - Ethernet Jack Design 1 (REAR VIEW)

Determine which type of Ethernet jack is installed. The first type has a black clip on the left side as
shown in
, and the second type has white clips on both sides.

If you are removing an Ethernet jack with a black clip, follow these steps to loosen it:
a)
Use a slotted screwdriver to indent the metal on the right side as shown in
. This
unlocks the right edge of the Ethernet jack from the ExpressCard case.
b)
Use a slotted screwdriver to push in on the black clip to release it from the ExpressCard case (see
10)
If you are removing an Ethernet jack with a white clip, follow these steps to loosen it:
a)
Reach into the device through the left side access door.
b)
Put your index finger on the Ethernet jack’s clip near the right side of the device (the side away
from the door you are reaching into).
c)
Use just your index finger to press on the clip, and pull the whole Ethernet jack toward you. The
clip you are pulling on will disengage from the case with a click.
