Using the Server

The PS will respond to a connect to MYPAGE with text and a command line as

follows:

[KPC9612P-8.1-125ADGNP]

PAGETEXT here (if any)

ENTER COMMAND: B, D, L, P, Password, or Help >

The first line tells the user that this page server is a KPC-9612 Plus with version

8.2 firmware and that it supports 1200, 2400, 512, numeric and alphanumeric

pages, a page directory, group paging, and POCSAG. This sign-on follows the

convention used by BBS systems to identify features supported.
At this point you (as remote user) are ready to send a page, list the page direc-

tory, list the pagelog, or disconnect from the PS.
For example, suppose that you wish to send a page to Phil (see page directory en-

try example earlier).
You will see the following ENTER COMMAND instructions:

At this point, you would type the following and hit return:

Then the ENTER COMMAND prompt would appear again (same as above), and

you could send another command or list the pagelog to see how the page went

out. To list the page log in response to the ENTER COMMAND instructions,
