IDE Detect Time Out (Sec)

BIOS to specify the maximum time (in seconds) the

AMI BIOS can search for IDE devices. This allows fine-tuning of the settings to allow for

faster boot times. The following configuration options are available.

The best setting to use if the onboard IDE controllers are set to a specific IDE disk drive in

the AMIBIOS is “0 seconds” and a large majority of ultra ATA hard disk drives can be

detected well within “5 seconds”.

configuration menu to view both primary and

secondary IDE device details and configure the IDE devices connected to the system.
