7.2 Parts Replacement
7.2.1 Replacing the ECC500 Collector
Prerequisites
The ECC500 collector (ECC for short) needs to be replaced.
A spare ECC of the same model is available and functional.
Context
Do not operate with power on. Take appropriate insulation measures.
Recommended tools and materials: Phillips screwdriver.
Procedure
Step 1
Back up the data in the faulty ECC before removing it.
1.
Log in to the WebUI of the faulty ECC.
2.
Choose
Maintenance
>
Configuration File
to access the
Configuration File (Please
enable automatic download in Internet options)
page.
3.
Click
Back Up Current Settings
to back up the configuration information about the
faulty ECC to the local computer.
4.
Choose
System Settings
>
SNMP Settings
, and record the information about areas
SNMPv3
and
SNMP Trap
.
5.
Choose
System Settings
>
Monitor Module IP
to record the IP address.
Step 2
Remove the faulty ECC and install the new ECC.
1.
Disconnect power supply from the ECC. Then, remove cables that connect the ECC,
label the cables, and record where the labeled cables were connected.
2.
Remove the four screws from the mounting ears using a Phillips screwdriver and remove
the ECC.
3.
Install mounting ears on a new ECC.
4.
Place the new ECC cautiously along the guide rails in the network cabinet.
5.
Push the new ECC into the cabinet until the mounting ears and cabinet side post are
level.
