SECURITY REVISION
Whenever a change is made to an item within the Security menus, the Security revision is incremented.
Security Revision is printed on the ‘chart’ at power up, and if either of the Auditor options or if the Batch
option is fi tted, Security Revision is included in the messages associated with these options. See notes 1
and 2, below.
Notes:
1 Security Revision can be used as an input to one or more maths channels. If such a maths chan-
nel is included in one or more groups, the revision number can be determined for any time/
date, when Trend History mode is invoked for the group(s) in question. See
section 4.3.11
for
maths option details.
2. If ‘Centralised Security’ is enabled, the Security Revision is in a different format (e.g. 15.001)
see
section 4.4.2
.
SUPPORT FILE
If the unit is not performing as it should (e.g. it resets itself unexpectedly), the Support File key allows the
user to save ‘critical system fi les’ into a single fi le ( SupportInfo.uhq*), for despatch to the manufacturer
for analysis. This fi le may be saved to the instrument’s Compact Flash or SD card or, using Bridge ‘Full’
software, to a remote PC. For security reasons, this fi le cannot be viewed by anyone other than the manu-
facturer or his agents.
Once the save operation is complete, a ‘Support’ message appears on the screen giving details of where
to send the fi le. More information is held in the fi le ‘SupportInfo.txt’ which is also saved to the disk. This
fi le can be opened, and the information within it read, by inserting the disk into a PC, clicking on the
fl oppy disk icon (A drive) in ‘My Computer’ and then double clicking on the fi le icon when it appears.
* ‘SupportInfo’ is the default name. This name may be edited by the user before saving to disk or pc. The
.uhq suffi x is automatically appended to the new name.
