Sostituzione e pulizia
filtri aria
Il filtro aria deve essere sostituito
agli intervalli prescritti sulla tabella
“Manutenzione periodica” (Sez. D 3).
Smontare il serbatoio carburante
(Sez. L 2).
Svitare le sei viti (1) di fissaggio del
coperchio scatola filtro.
Rimuovere il coperchio (2).
Rimuovere la cartuccia filtro (3).
Pulire la cartuccia filtro con un getto
di aria compressa o sostituirla.
Importante
Un filtro intasato, riduce
l’entrata dell’aria aumentando il
consumo di benzina, riducendo la
potenza del motore e provocando
incrostazioni nelle candele. Non usare
il motociclo senza filtro. Le impurità
presenti nell’aria potrebbero entrare
nel motore danneggiandolo.
Reinstallare correttamente la
cartuccia (3) nella sede (A) del
coperchio scatola filtro e rimontare
tutti gli elementi e le strutture
rimosse, in particolare serrare le viti (1)
alla coppia prescritta (Sez. C 3):
effettuare il serraggio incrociato.
Importante
In caso di impiego su strade
particolarmente polverose o umide
provvedere alla sostituzione più
frequentemente di quanto prescritto
nella tabella di manutenzione
periodica.
Changing and cleaning
the air filters
The air filter must be changed at the
intervals indicated in the “Routine
maintenance” table (Sect. D 3).
Remove the fuel tank (Sect. L 2).
Unscrew the six screws (1) securing
the filter cover.
Remove the cover (2).
Remove the filter cartridge (3).
The filter cartridge can be cleaned
with a jet of compressed air or
renewed as necessary.
Important
A clogged air filter will reduce
air intake and engine power, increase
fuel consumption and cause a build
up of deposits on the spark plugs.
Do not run the engine without the air
filter. This will draw foreign material
present in the air into the engine and
may damage the engine.
Install the cartridge (3) in its
housing (A) in the airbox cover
and replace all the removed parts;
tighten the screws (1) to the specified
torque (Sect. C 3): tighten the screws
in a crosswise sequence
Important
If the vehicle is used in very
damp or dusty conditions, the air filter
cartridge must be changed more
frequently.
