Inumidire con alcool l'anello di
tenuta (3) e montarlo sul coperchio
alternatore, in corrispondenza
dell'alberino leva cambio (Sez. N 7.1).
Installare sul coperchio alternatore
l’OR (
9 ) e la guarnizione (8).
Posizionare il sensore motore (7) nella
relativa sede e fissarlo con la vite (1)
e la relatova rosetta (
37 ), serrando
la vite (1) alla coppia prescritta
(Sez. C 3).
Procedere con la verifica del traferro
esistente tra sensore e ingranaggio
rinvio distribuzione, come di seguito
descritto.
Controllo traferro
sensore motore
Il sensore motore è in grado
di leggere i denti dell’ingranaggio
rinvio distribuzione e grazie alla
discontinuità di due denti riesce a
stabilire il numero di giri del motore.
Rimuovere il tappo a vite (B) che
chiude il foro di ispezione sul
semicarter sinistro.
Non effettuare il controllo del traferro
nella discontinuità dei denti.
Introdurre dal foro la lama di uno
spessimetro (A), posizionandola tra
l'estremità del sensore e la corona
dentata dell'ingranaggio rinvio
distribuzione.
Verificare che il gioco presente risulti
0,75÷0,95 mm.
In caso contrario allentare la vite (1)
di fissaggio sensore (7), in modo da
riuscire a sfilare lo spessore (8) e
a sostituirlo con uno di spessore
idoneo.
Rimontare il tappo (B) con
guarnizione (C) e bloccarlo alla
coppia prescritta (Sez. C 3).

Rifornire il motore di olio D 4
Moisten oil seal (3) with alcohol and
fit it in the generator cover at the
gearbox control lever (Sect. N 7.1).
Install O-ring ( 9 ) and gasket (8) on the
generator cover. Position engine
sensor (7) in its seat and fasten with
screw (1) and washer (
37 ), tightening
screw (1) to the specified torque
(Sect. C 3).
Check also the air gap between
sensor and timing layshaft gear
as described below.
Checking the engine
sensor air gap
The engine sensor is designed to read
the teeth of the timing layshaft gear
and is able to determine engine
speed by virtue of the gap between
two adjacent teeth.
Remove screw plug (B) from the
LH-side casing inspection hole.
Do not perform the check at the gap
between the teeth.
Insert a feeler gauge (A) through the
hole, positioning it between the end
of the sensor and the timing layshaft
gear teeth.
Check that the air gap is
0.75 -
0.95 mm.
If it is not, loosen screw (1) securing
sensor (7) so as to extract shim (8)
and replace it with one of suitable
thickness.
Refit plug (B) with seal (C) and tighten
to the specified torque (Sect. C 3).
