Installare il gruppo base di sterzo sul
telaio.
Inserire sull'anello esterno
superiore (F) del telaio, la corona di
sfere (D) opportunamente ingrassata.
Montare sul perno di sterzo l'anello
interno (B) del cuscinetto superiore (5),
con la parte di diametro maggiore,
rivolta verso l'alto.
Montare l'anello di tenuta (7) con la
superficie piana verso l'alto.
Serrare la ghiera di registro (4) alla
coppia prescritta (Sez. C 3).
Riposizionare gli steli forcella nel
modo descritto alla Sezione G 2.
Installare la testa di sterzo (2) facendo
in modo che la testa di sterzo si
appoggi sui semimanubri.
Ingrassare la vite (1) e serrarla sulla
testa di sterzo alla coppia prescritta
(Sez. C 3).
Serrare le viti di fissaggio
semimanubri alla coppia prescritta
(Sez. C 3).
Rimontare il telaietto anteriore
(Sez. H 8). Fit the bottom yoke assembly to
frame.
Grease the ball race (D) and fit it to
the steering head outer race (F).
Fit the inner race (B) of the upper
bearing (5) to the steering stem,
with the larger diameter side of the
race facing upwards.
Install the oil seal (7) with the flat side
facing upwards.
Tighten the steering stem nut (4) to
the specified torque (Sect. C 3).
Relocate the fork legs as described
in Section G 2.
Refit the top yoke (2) so that it rests
on the handlebars.
Grease the bolt (1), insert it in the top
yoke and tighten to the specified
torque (Sect. C 3).
Tighten the handlebar retaining bolts
to the specified torque (Sect. C 3).
Refit the front subframe (Sect. H 8).
