È possibile verificare in quali condizioni
di funzionamento del motore
l’alternatore eroga una corrente
sufficiente per ricaricare la batteria e
per alimentare il sistema di iniezione/
accensione e tutti gli utilizzatori
elettrici presenti sul motociclo.
La pinza amperometrica (18) rileva
il campo magnetico generato dalla
corrente che passa nel cavo su cui
è applicata.
Svitare le viti (19) di fissaggio
supporto batteria al telaio.
Rimuovere il coperchio (20).
Accendere lo strumento DDS (1)
facendo riferimento al paragrafo
“Connessione alla moto”.
Collegare il cavo alimentazione e
diagnosi (Modulo Misure) (3) al
connettore modulo misure (D)
dello strumento DDS (1).
Collegare la pinza amperometrica alla
presa (E) del cavo alimentazione e
diagnosi (Modulo Misure) (3).
Attenzione
La pinza amperometrica non
deve essere connessa su cavi in cui
scorre corrente elettrica.
Inserire poi la pinza amperometrica
sul cavo positivo della batteria
facendo attenzione che la freccia di
riferimento, stampigliata sulla pinza,
sia rivolta verso il polo positivo (
+ )
della batteria.

Notes

You can determine the engine rpm
required for the alternator to produce
sufficient current to charge battery,
power the injection/ignition system
and all the electrical equipment on the
motorcycle. When applied to a cable,
the ammeter clamp (18) detects the
magnetic field generated by the
current passing through that cable.
Undo the screws (19) securing the
battery mounting tray to the frame.
Remove the cover (20).
Switch on the DDS tester (1); see
heading “Connection to the
motorcycle”
Connect the power and diagnostics
cable (Measurement Module) (3)
to the measurement module
connector (D) on the DDS tester (1).
Connect the ammeter clamp to the
connector (E) of the power and
diagnostics cable (Measurement
Module) (3).
Warning
The ammeter clamp must not
be connected to wires through which
electrical current is flowing.
Apply the ammeter clamp to the
battery positive terminal lead with the
arrow on the clamp pointing towards
the battery positive terminal (
+ ).
