BRAKE
●
Remove the circlip [1] and pull out the disc and the caliper, then
detach the caliper from the disc.
●
Remove the wire rope bolt [2] and detach the wire rope from the
caliper.
Caliper Installation
Front Brake
● Install the caliper
[1] and brake hose [2].
○
Replace the washers that are on each side of hose fitting with new
ones.
● Tighten
the caliper mounting bolts [3] and the brake hose banjo
bolt [4] to the specified torque:
Caliper Mounting Bolts: 25N-m (2.5kg-m, 18.0ft-lb)
Brake Hose Banjo Bolt: 25N-m (2.5kg-m, 18.0ft-lb)
Rear brake
●
Install the caliper in the reverse order of removal. Pay attention to
the following points.
○
Replace the washers [1] that are on each side of hose fitting with
new ones.
○
Tighten the caliper mounting bolts [2] and the brake hose banjo
bolt [3] to the specified torque:
Caliper Mounting Bolts: 25N-m (2.5kg-m, 18.0ft-lb)
Brake Hose Banjo Bolt: 25N-m (2.5kg-m, 18.0ft-lb)
● Check
the fluid level in the brake reservoir.
● Bleed the brake line (see Brake Line Air Bleeding).
● Check the brake for good
braking power, no brake drag, and no
fluid leakage.

WARNING
Do not attempt to drive the vehicle until a full brake lever is
obtained by pumping the brake lever until the pads are against
each disc. The brakes will not function on the first application
of the lever if this is not done.
