Starting Procedure
Use the following ch eckl ist each time you start the
engines. Additional detailed information about these
systems is co vered in the engine operator’ s manual.
Never start or op erate the engines when p eop le
are in the water near your b oat. Contact with the
b oat or p rop ulsion units can cause serious injury
or death.
Never start or run engines without an adeq uate
sup p ly of cooling water. T he engines will b e
damaged immediately.


Review Pre- op eration Checklist

E ngine battery OF F -ON switch es to ON position

H ouse battery OF F -ON switch to ON position
( ce nter engine switch )

Release engine tilt locks and lower engines to full
Tilt D own position

V erify fuel supply

E ngage the blower for at least four minutes

Turn main ignition ke ys to ON

M ove D TS co ntrol levers to NE UTRAL position

Attach ignition shutoff switch cl ip and lanyard

S tart engines using the push-to-start switch es

V erify engine co oling system operation by
observing the overboard indica tors

V erify all engine systems at V essel V iew display

Let engines idle in NE TRAL for five minutes
before leaving the dock
