Generator F uel F ilter
A fuel filter located on the starboard wall of the bilge,
forward of the diesel fuel tank provides clean fuel to the
generator. A ma or cause of poor starting or power loss
is the result of a clogged filter element or a fuel system
air leak.
eplacing the Filter
Replace the filter according to manufacturer’s
recommendations or if a power loss is detected.
Ensure engine is not running
Remove bottom casing.
Remove the filter by slowly pulling upward with a
twisting motion.
Insert the new filter with a slow downward twisting
motion
ill the filter with clean fuel.
Replace the bottom casing. D N T overtighten.
It is recommended that spare filters are carried aboard
as contaminated fuel can easily clog a filter.
enerator aw ater Strainer Maintenance
Periodically check the raw water strainer for debris and
clean as necessary.
Ensure generator is not running.
Remove the securing knob and the clear lid.
Remove the strainer and clean it of debris.
Replace the strainer.
Replace the lid.
Replace and hand tighten the securing knob.
