Grounding
The negative terminals of all batteries and the negative
ca bles from the outboard engines are all co nnect ed
together at two negative buss bars loca ted inside the
co ntrol co nsole. These negative buss bars serve as the
negative return points for the entire 1 2 V D C elect rica l
system.
The helm station switch panel uses a # 6 awg black wire
and the ce ntral breake r panel uses a # 4 awg black wire
to co nnect to the negative side of the 1 2 V D C elect rica l
system at a buss bar.
Note: All grounding wires and ca bles are b lack .
Bonding
This boat’ s bonding system is co nnect ed to the grounding
system of the boat. Items such as the fuel tank, fuel fill,
forward S ampson post, co ntrol co nsole, engine cr ash
rail, leaning post, transom ca p, and engine bracke
t are
also co nnec ted to the grounding system with # 8 awg
green ca bles.
Also direct ly co nnect ed to the bonding system are any
shielded ca bles from elect ronic device s. This helps
dissipate radio frequency interference generated by
various elect ronic device s.
Note: All bonding wires and ca bles are green.
