Isolation T ransformers
This boat is eq uipped with isolation transformers. The
boat’ s elect rica l system and grounding co nduct or are not
act ually co nnect ed to the docksi
de system.
The isolation transformers transfer power from the
docksi
de elect rica l system to the boat’ s elect rica l system
by magnetic co upling. This means there is no direct
elect rica l co nnect ion between the earth-grounded shore
AC power and the boat AC power. Isolating the power
this way eliminates shock
haza rds to people swimming
around the boat and also mitigates the galvanic co rrosion
caused by current ow in hard wired systems.
O ther b oat systems may or may not p rovide
shock p rotection to swimmers. NEV ER AL L O W
S IMMIN in close pro imity to other boats
which may b e running AC electrical systems.
