Maintenance
M aintenance of the raw water system req uires periodic
inspection of the raw water intake strainer and all fittings
and hoses for system integrity to prevent leaks. Clean
away debris and/ or tighten hose co nnect ions as req uired.
The system should be run at least every other month to
ke ep the pump’ s impeller in good co ndition. S ee
Section
6 for details.
H ead System
•
T his b oat is eq uip p ed with a direct overb oard
discharge valve. Discharging of sewage directly
overb oard is for use where ap p roved only.
•
Damage to the system could occur if the discharge
seacock is not op en during op eration.
•
Severe state and federal p enalties are levied
for discharging raw sewage and solid waste in
waters where it is not p ermitted.
•
Demonstrating that you have disab led the
macerator b y locking the system and/ or removing
the seacock handle may avoid a ne.
•
It is illegal for any vessel to dump p lastic trash
anywhere in the ocean or navigab le waters of the
U nited States.
This vessel is eq uipped with a waste disposal system
loca ted in the head in the ca bin. The system is protect ed
by the AC M L SH breaker on the DC Breaker
P anel in the aft starboard side of the ca bin. The breake r
must be ON for the system to funct ion.
