General Descrip tion
This boat incl udes both D C and AC elect rica l systems.
DC O verview
This boat’ s D C elect rica l system operates on 1 2 / 2 4 V
power supplied by four marine batteries in the aft
mech anica l co mpartment.
The D C distribution panel is loca ted in a ca binet on
the starboard side of the ca bin. The 1 2 V D C elect rica l
system provides power to all D C elect rica l loads on the
boat ( exce pt for the bow thruster which is 2 4 V D C) .
All 1 2 V D C wiring in this boat co nforms to S AE J1 1 2 8
and is premium-grade tinned co pper marine ca ble,
designed to minimize voltage drop and resist co rrosion.
The termination of each 1 2 V D C elect rica l ci rcu it is
protect ed from moisture intrusion by self-sealing heat
shrink insulation on each co nnect or.
BCGP recommends for the standard configuration you
use four group 3 1 heavy-duty marine batteries rated at
1 0 0 0 S AE marine cr anki ng amps.
