Battery Charging
In addition to supplying AC power to your boat, shore
power hookup gives you the ability to charge your
batteries without running the engines.
The system is automatic and little or no maintenance
is required. However, the breakers must be in the N
position in order for the systems to automatically charge.
The engine house battery charger can be accessed
through the equipment hatch in the aft cockpit deck. The
DC charger for the bow thruster is in the forward
compartment under the berth cushion.
Trim Tabs
The Lenco electro mechanical trim tab actuators are
sealed units and do not require any periodic maintenance.
Check the general condition of the actuators and trim
planes once a month. Remove any marine growth from
the actuators, actuator shafts, and trim planes with a
pressure washer.
Cold temperatures do not affect this trim tab system. No
special preparation for off season storage is necessary.
An anode is attached to each trim plane to control
galvanic corrosion in salt or brackish water. The anode
must make direct, electrical contact with the stainless
steel trim plane to protect it. Regularly check the contact
area for corrosion and to ensure a tight contact. Do not
paint the anode contact area. Do not ground or bond the
trim planes to any other underwater metal ob ects.
