F orklift
Y ou ca n use a large marine forkl ift to move your boat.
The forkl ift must be professionally rated to a worki ng
load of at least 1 7 ,5 0 0 pounds ( 7 9 3 8 kg ) with a safety
factor of five. Ad ust the forks to lift the boat evenly. The
forks must not contact any thru hull fittings on the bottom
of the boat.
This boat may be eq uipped with a thru-hull transduce r.
Generally, the thru-hull transduce r is loca ted 3 0 inch es
( 7 6 cm ) forward of the transom on the starboard side. If
your boat has a fact ory-installed thru-hull transduce r, it
will have “ S L ING” deca ls on the gunwales to indica te the
appropriate loca tion for the sling.
Never allow anyone to b e in the b oat or under
the b oat while you are lifting it. A mistake in the
lifting p rocedure or a comp onent failure could
cause serious injury or death.
M ove the boat slowly.
