Error Codes

An error code is displayed on the ELx405™ as a four-digit identifier. The first digit
will be

, or

•

, or

denote a noncritical (

General

) error, which means that the

instrument will still respond to keypad input. See

General Errors

, page 187.

denotes a more serious (

Fatal

) error, which requires that the ELx405 be

turned off and then powered up. Upon restarting the washer, you should be
able to enter commands into the keypad. See

Fatal Errors

, page 200.
