Detailed Component Descriptions
Chapter 1: Introduction

manner in which the LED flashes indicates whether the transducer is functioning
properly. Refer to chapter 2 for troubleshooting procedures.

Each housing is clearly labeled and color-coded for the type of gas or vacuum
being monitored. DISS, gas-specific, demand flow valves are used with all trans-
ducers. The demand flow valves permit replacement of transducers without shut-
ting off the gas or vacuum pipeline.

The maximum input pressure for transducers is 200 psig (1379 kPa). The maxi-
mum input vacuum for transducers is 30"Hg (101 kPa). All transducers are pres-
sure tested to NFPA 99 standards and cleaned for oxygen services.

Remote-Mount Transducers

A DISS, gas-specific, demand valve (AD) is included with each transducer (AG)
(see figure 1-14 on page 1–38). This demand valve (AD) attaches to a 1/4"
National Pipe Thread (NPT) female connection in the pipeline

outside

of the

rough-in box assembly.
