Dial-Up Configuration
1. Click on Start .
2. Go to Programs .
3. Go to Accessories .
4. Go to Communications .
5. Click on Dial-Up Networking .
6. Double click on Make New Connection .
7. Type in a name for your connection.
8. At “Select” a device, choose Generic NULL Modem .
9. Click on Configure ….
10. On the General tab , set the Maximum speed to 19200.
11. On the Connection tab , click on Advanced ….
12. Remove the check in the Use flow control box.
13. Click on OK .
14. Click on OK .
15. Click on Next .
16. If there is an Area Code in the box, delete it.
17. Enter 1 for the telephone number.
18. Click on Next .
19. Click on Finish .
20. Go to the Dial-Up Connection by doing the following:
a. Click on Start.
b. Go to Programs .
c. Go to Communications .
d. Click on Dial-Up Networking .
21. Edit the properties of the Dial-Up Connection by doing the following:
a. Right click on the NULL Modem, and select Properties.
