Browse the Event Log
1. To browse the Event Log, click on the Event Log link. The Event Log page
displays (see figure 1-47 on page 1–99).

When the Network Communications Board is installed in the Area Alarm, the
event log captures all alarms and events on the MedPlus TotalAlert® Alarm
Network. Otherwise, it only captures events and alarms from the Master Alarms.
An event, for example, is when a user logs into the
Home
page.
The event log holds up to 4000 characters, which is about 100 lines; then the old-
est event is erased. The event log can be downloaded and saved to a file on a PC
as part of a regular maintenance schedule. Saving the event log data is useful to
keep track of events that may lead to a problem.
2. Click on the Refresh link to view the most recent information.
