Group Properties via Group Profiles
Different profiles may be assigned to a Group depending on configurations. These profiles
control the behaviour of the logged-in group members.
This is the mode of action of the individual functions:
•
First it will be checked which configuration and with that which profile is valid for the corre-
sponding group. If this setting was configured inside of this profile not to be changed
(
Profile-controlled settings
enabled), the function properties are already fixed.
•
If this setting was allowed to be changed inside of this profile (
Profile-controlled settings
disabled), the configuration of page
Groups > Properties
will be enabled.
Note:
When entering the internal number for the very first time (see
Groups
> Phone numbers
) a group will be assigned to the standard profile automat-
ically. For the standard profile (see
Groups > Profiles > Configuration
) the
default authorisation is to change the function settings (
Profile-controlled
settings
disabled -> no). That means that each function will be switched as
it was entered on the page
Groups > Properties
.
Changes to function settings may be made by:
•
Configuration switchover (with different profiles in these configurations)
•
Telephone procedures (only if the function changes are allowed in the profile settings
(
Profile-controlled settings
disabled))
•
User action on the page
Groups > Properties
of the configuration manager (only if the
function changes are allowed in the profile settings (
Profile-controlled
settings disabled).
In addition to this the user needs a user password and the authorisation for the page
mentioned above.
Creating Profiles
The available profiles (default profiles, user-defined profiles) are displayed in the
Profile name
column:
•
Default profiles: The selected settings can be viewed by means of clicking
View
in the last
column.
•
User-defined profiles: The user-defined profiles can be adapted to the corresponding
requirements by means of clicking
Configure
in the last column.
