An internal U
P0
port (not included in the basic assembly) is a 2-core interface that becomes
useful, for example, if existing 2-core lines in an analogue installation are to be used. It is
suitable for connecting to one of the following end devices:
•
COMfortel 1200/1400/1600/2600 system telephones (firmware version 1.6A, or later)
•
COMfortel 1100/1500/2500/2500 AB system telephones (firmware version 4.4I, or later)
Other ISDN end devices can only be connected to the U

port via a U

adapter. It provides
a S
0
port with two RJ-45 sockets by converting 2-wire to 4-wire. It is suitable for connecting to
the following terminal devices:
•
COMfortel DECT 900 Bases for COMfortel DECT 900C/900
•
ISDN telephones in compliance with the Euro ISDN Standard (DSS1)
•
ISDN PC controllers in compliance with the Euro ISDN Standard (DSS1)

Internal Analogue Port
An internal analogue port (not included in the basic assembly) is suitable for connecting to one
of the following end devices:
•
Analogue telephones with DTMF dialling, e. g. COMfortel 600 or COMfortel DECT 660C
•
Analogue telephones with pulse dialling
•
Analogue fax machines
•
Analogue answering machines
•
Modems
Important:
Devices using pulse dialling cannot use the full range of features
of the PBX, for example, transfer a call.
Devices using dual-tone multi-frequency dialling must be equipped with a
flash key (also referred to as signal key R).
