LDAP Server
Entering Passwords for Exported Contact Groups
If an IP end device authenticates itself on the LDAP server with one of these passwords, only
the contact data for this contact group is transferred.
Proceed as follows:

Using the configuration manager
1. Open the page
User data > Address books > Settings
.
If you have created contact groups in the address books, these are displayed in the
list fields in the
Exported contact groups
line.
2. Select the required contact group from the list fields of the
Exported contact groups
line.
3. Enter the password in the
Password
entry field. Possible entries:
Note:
To change current passwords, click on
Edit passwords
.
A coloured bar under the entry field shows the security level of the password
(red = low level, green = high level).
Passwords with a low security level can not be saved.

Caution:
A high level does not necessarily indicate a secure
password as this can also be reached by entering names and birth
dates in connection with special characters. However, names and
birth dates should not be used as passwords.

To create a secure password you can consult, for example, the
guidelines of the German Federal Office for Information Security
(BSI, in German).
Caution:
Visible passwords constitute a security risk.

After entering the PIN/password, click on
Mask passwords
.
