If a user ID is required, log in to an account.

If sample IDs are required but one or more samples
have a missing barcode, the following prompt
appears:

Enter ID
to open a keyboard screen and enter
the sample ID for each missing position.

Cancel Load
to cancel loading the turntable
samples. The turntable becomes unlocked in order
to reposition tubes or apply barcode to them.

Press
Skip
to continue testing samples except for
those that were not loaded into the system.

If the system Quality Control is configured to lock the
instrument when:
–
The instrument has not been tested with Clinitrol™
290 for a specified period of time.
–
The system detects an expired lot number for
standards or controls.
The following system prompt opens before testing
can begin:

Press
Yes
to override the instrument lock and log in
to a Supervisor-level account.
–
Press
No
to cancel the test until the instrument
calibration has been verified with Clinitrol (see
Verifying Calibration with a Quality Control Test
).
Once any Quality Control requirements have been
met, the system checks all positions on the turntable
for samples and automatically selects all filled
positions on the turntable display.
NOTE:
Press
at any time while loading samples
to cancel the test. You can then either:
• Replace samples on the turntable and run
another automated test.
• Press
to clear all selected positions on
the turntable display.
5.5 Testing in Progress
For each sample tested, the instrument pipettes the
sample, tests it, and then cleans the pipette in
preparation for the next sample test.
NOTE:
The instrument cleans the fluid lines
automatically during the test sequence. However,
it is recommended to run a cleaning cycle if the
instrument has sat idle for a week or more or if
poor precision is observed. In the unlikely event
that the instrument system fluid runs dry, refer to
