 Installation and Setup

OsmoPRO MAX Automated Osmometer User Guide

Remove the Rear Panel

You must remove the rear panel of the instrument to 
access the shipping stop.

Required

: Medium-sized Phillips screwdriver

1. 

Position the instrument so that the serial number 
plate 

[A]

 faces you.

2. 

Remove the four circled Phillips head screws with the 
screwdriver and save for later re-installation.

3. 

Slide the rear panel down slightly and then pull it 
away from the instrument.

Remove the Shipping Stop

Required

: Medium-sized Phillips screwdriver

The shipping stop 

[B]

 is shown below. It is secured with 

a Philips head screw 

[C]

.

1. 

Unscrew the Philips head screw.

2. 

Gently push the shipping stop forward approximately 
1” (2.5 cm) to gain clearance.

3. 

Rotate the shipping stop to the left so that it clears 
the linear slide.

4. 

Once it is clear from the slide, pull the shipping stop 
back and out of the device (avoid wiring).

5. 

Store the screw and shipping stop in a safe location in 
case you need to use it for return shipping.
