Washers With Metercase
Models CAE2761K & CAE2762K
IMPORTANT SETUP INFORMATION
Using a Palm
Handheld
The electronic control is factory preset to ac-
cept commands from a Palm
handheld
equipped with the appropriate Whirlpool Man-
agement Software. If a handheld will not be
used, the handheld functionality must be dis-
abled as part of the control set up. Failure to
disable handheld functionality may result in un-
authorized machine access. For details, see the
OWNER SETTINGS table “P ACc,” on page 6-5.
Money Acceptors
This electronic control can use a coinslide or
coindrop (single or dual) and/or a SMART Card
money acceptor, which are available from in-
dependent suppliers of these devices.
The electronic control is used on many differ-
ent models, including metercase models. On
this machine, the electronic control is factory
preset to accept input only from a coinslide
device.
To instruct the control to accept inputs from
other devices or to disable input from a coinslide,
see the OWNER SETTINGS table (droP, SLidE,
CArd,) on page 6-4. These settings can be also
made using a Palm
handheld with the appro-
priate Whirlpool Management Software.
Device Connections:
Refer to the installation instructions from the
supplier of each device. Refer to the wiring
diagram for this product.
• Coinslide connection is made via the wire
harness provided in the metercase.
• Coindrop connection to a single or dual
coindrop is made via the wire harness
provided with the device, plugged into the
electronic control at P-10 COIN 1, and P-12
COIN 2.
• Connection to a SMART Card device is
provided with the device plugged into the
electronic control at P-11 AUX.

door on top of the metercase.
2. Push and release the rocker switch, lo-
