2. Verify that you are aiming at the machine's
infrared receiver then tap on OK when the
ID is correct on the screen, as illustrated
below.
NOTE: Machine IDs must begin with a “W” for
washer or a “D” for dryer, followed by an addi-
tional 5-digits. The handheld software suggests
a logical naming order, or if you prefer, use the
product serial number. Machine IDs must also
be unique within each location. An easy way
to keep track of machine names is to begin
with the first machine to your left as you enter
a location, and work clockwise around the
room, or physically mark the machine with a
property tag or magic marker.
3. When initialization is complete, the screen
will display Operation completed . Tap on
Back to return to the Select a command
screen.
Send Setup Command
The Send Setup command transfers a washer
or dryer template, created in the management
software, to a machine.
1. Aim the infrared port on the PDA at a 90
°
angle to the machine's receiver.
2. Tap on Send Setup , from the Select a
command screen on the Palm

.
3. Select the appropriate Setup Template ,
then tap on Send .
4. When the operation is complete, tap on
Back to return to the Select a command
menu.
5. Insert the user card or appropriate coins
into the selected money acceptor to verify
proper operation.
NOTES:
• The Management Software will not recog-
nize the setup data you assigned to the
machine until you have taken an audit and
performed a
HotSync ‚ operation to upload it
back to your PC.
• Remember to change the mechanical
coinslide vend-price to match any changes
made to the control board vend-price in the
setup mode.
