Installation
•
Installing a Second Tower
Instructions for using the front outfeed conveyor, the paper guide rods and
paper guide tape are included in the operator manual.
In two tower DigiVAC systems, the towers are referred to as ‘A’ and ‘B’.
Procedure
1. Switch off the power on the existing DigiVAC collator and disconnect
from the mains supply.
2. Push Tower A into the approximate final position. Remember to allow
enough room for any ancillary equipment that may require connecting to
the system.
3. Position Tower B in front of Tower A and raise the tower link assembly
into a horizontal plane.
• The tower link assembly has locating pegs which fit into the docking
holes on the Tower A top module (see Figure 7:12). Carefully push
Tower B forward whilst guiding the tower link assembly locating pegs
into the docking holes.
Note:
The pegs must be fully located to ensure correct alignment of the
conveyor system.
