5.1 DigiVAC After-Build Inspection
Section 1 - Visual Checks
1. Painted Surfaces
• Check all painted surfaces of the machine for blemishes or damage.
2. Wiring and Voltage Settings
WARNING:
•
Before switching on machine, check voltage tappings on toroidal
transformer are in correct setting. Ensure the DIL LEVER
SWITCH (on rear of control panel) has all 4 levers set in the 'OFF'
position (upright) on 230/240V machines. On 60HZ machines
ensure only No.1 lever is on (pushed forward)

• Visually check that all wiring and labels are correctly in place.
3. Drive Base
• Check Tacho Sensor secure.
• Check Tacho magnet tight.
4. Fixing Screws
• Check that all screws and fixings are in place and securely tightened.
Section 2 - Pre-Run Checks
1. Address Bins
• Go through bin addressing procedure.

DigiVAC Standard
: Check correct bin count appears on the top left
hand side of the LCD screen during power up.
• :
Check correct bin count appears on the GUI Mimic dia-
gram.
2. STD Control/GUI Panel Functions
If fitted with a Standard Control Panel
a) Switch on. Check Software on digital display is correct (eg. [Dig 1.7] is
displayed).
b) Go into Engineering Mode (see Section 3.3.2).
If fitted with a GUI Control Panel
a) Panel Calibration (see Section 3.4.7).
b) Load Current Software (see Section 4.4.1).
3. Bins Communicating
• Switch bins on using on/off button.
• Link bins using link button.
• Check that paper loaded sensors switch bins off/on.
4. Trays
• Check extension function and sidelay movement.
• Check air pipes are free from kinks etc.
• Check tap function.
• Check paper control weights.
5. Rear Door Switch
• Check ‘rear door open’ switch, plus visual ‘Guard’ display, operate.
6. Belts/Gears/Conveyor Wheels/Shafts
With the power disconnected from the Air/Vac Control PCB, switch on
the machine whilst pressing one of the bin On/Off buttons on each sepa-
rate 4 bin module, so as to enable calibration mode. Start the machine and
check the following:
• Check and adjust all belt tensions.
• Ensure that all squeaks, rattles or gear noises are investigated and elim-
inated.
• Pulse the feeder clutches by pressing the bin On/Off buttons and check
