Chapter 8 Trouble Shooting
This trouble shooting chart includes both operational problems and engineer-
ing problems.
As with all trouble shooting, the best practice when trying to identify a fault,
is to only make one correction or adjustment at a time.

SOLUTION
The machine will not power-up
The machine is not plugged in
Plug in and switch on
Faulty fuse
Check the fuses at the mains input and
replace if necessary (see Section 1.4)
Machine stopped working
Bin module drive belt is damaged or
broken
Replace the bin module drive belt (see
Section 3.6.9)
Main drive belt is damaged or broken
Replace the main drive belt (see Section
3.6.9)
Bin(s) not working or not feeding
Bin is switched off
Switch on bin
Hand merge mode is switched on
Switch off hand merge mode
The bin air blow is switched off
Switch on the bin air blow by pushing
the air controls in
Tray sensor faulty
Replace tray sensor (see Section 3.5.7)
Bin Feeder Drive Belt is damaged or bro-
ken
Replace Bin Feeder Drive Belt (see Sec-
tion 3.5.11)
Bin emitter/sensor not working
Emitter/sensor is damaged or faulty
Replace bin emitter/sensor (see Section
3.5.5)
Loud beeping noise coming from Digi-
VAC after a Test Set feed
Emitter/sensor is damaged or faulty
Replace bin emitter/sensor (see Section
3.5.5)
Red and yellow error indication LED’s
lighting up after a Test Set feed
Emitter/sensor is damaged or faulty
