Top Module
DigiVAC Standard:
Put the DigiVAC Standard control panel into Engineering Mode (see Section
3.3.2).
Press
# -
The
#
LED will flash to indicate that the bins are being prepared
for addressing (unlocking the EPROM etc.) and then will remain steady to in-
dicate addressing mode. The display will show [
bin 1
]. Press the on/off but-
ton on bin 1 steadily and the panel will beep and move on to bin 2.
Repeat for all the bins, then press the
#
button again. The
#
LED will flash
whilst the panel write-protects the EPROM of each bin before the machine re-
verts to engineering mode again.

Touch
MENU
,
SERVICE OPTIONS
followed by
BIN ADDRESSING
(the access level
must be
SERVICE
or higher). At each prompt, press the bin on/off switch on the
appropriate bin control.
After addressing the last bin, touch
BIN ADDRESSING
again.
Switch off and switch on the power again to automatically initialise the bins.
Ensure that the correct number of bins is shown on the GUI mimic diagram.
3.1.6 PCB Removal, Fitting and Adjustments - General Comments
Wherever possible, switch off the collator and disconnect from the mains.
Warning
If it is necessary to leave the mains power switched on, use extreme caution
and avoid any of the exposed electrical or mechanical
components.
Caution
Wear an anti-static wrist band or earth yourself on the collator before touching
the PCB. Static charge can damage the sensitive electronics of the PCB.
3.2.1 Replacing the Top Drum & Conveyor Belts
Should the top drum conveyor belts become worn or broken, they will need to
be replaced to resume good machine function.
