4.4.4.5   Updating the DigiVAC Software Via an Ethernet Connection

Once the Ethernet connection is established (see Section 4.4.4.4), follow this
procedure to update the DigiVAC software.

Procedure

1. Type 

D

 in the Telnet window and press return to download the new Digi-

VAC software to the machine.

2. At the prompt:

Enter IP address of TFTP server [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]?>

type in the IP address of the computer that has the TFTP server software
installed on it (i.e. the computer from which you are downloading the
application software). Press return.

3. At the prompt:

Enter filename to load [varioapp.lzw]?>

press return to confirm that the file name for the DigiVAC software that
you wish to install is varioapp.lzw. If the name for the software update is
different to varioapp.lzw, type the new name in and press return.

4. If the download is successful, you will see the following prompt:

TFTP download success <file size = xxxxxx>

(see Figure 4:25).

This means that the software is currently stored in the DigiVAC’s down-
load cache. Type 

P

 and press return to transfer this to the flash memory.
