5.2 DigiVAC - Pre-Delivery Inspection Notes
These notes complement the test sheet on the previous page.
Section 1 - Visual Checks
1. Painted Surfaces
• Check all painted surfaces of the machine for blemishes or damage.
2. Wiring and Voltage Settings
Caution
• Before switching on the machine, check the voltage tappings on the
transformer.
• Visually check that all wiring and cables are correctly in place.
3. Fixing Screws
• Check that all screws and fixings are in place and securely tightened.
Section 2 - Pre-Run Checks
1. Switch On.
2. Control Panel
DigiVAC Standard:
• Check software version at power up.
• Check control panel functions (see Section 3.3.2).

• Check contrast and screen calibration.
• Ensure the correct software and appropriate language is selected.
3. Air System
• Check that the air and vacuum motors work.
• Check sidelay taps and valves work.
• Check for leaks and hose security.
4. Rear Guard
• Check the operation of the rear guard switch and the display

Section 3 - Running Tests
1. Straight Stack All Bins
• Run the machine with all bins switched on, straight stacking the paper.
• Check that the set feeds together in a neat set.
• Test the machine through full range of speeds.
2. Miss and Double Detection
• Hold back a sheet from each bin in turn and check machine stops at the
correct time. Check the bin LED and display.
• Using folded sheets, simulate a double feed in each bin and that the
check machine stops at correct time. Check the bin LED and display.
3. Rear Deflector Change Warning

tion using lever and restart - control panel should show ‘

4. Rear Feed
• Run machine in rear feed position and check for clean feed of sets.
5. Bin Empty Sensor
• Check that the bin empty sensor works correctly in all bins.
6. Cross Stack All Bins (if DXJG installed)
• Select

and check the correct function of the DXJG.
• Check that errored sets are diverted correctly and that the stacker
remains synchronised.
