Base Module
12. Remove the motor mounting plate from the motor (4 x M10 coach bolts
and nuts).
13. Replacement of the motor is a direct reversal of the above procedure.
14. Tension the belt before finally tightening the M10 fixing nuts (see Section
15. Replace all covers and test the machine.
3.6.2 Checking the Vacuum Pressure
The operational speed of the vacuum pump motor is factory set and no further
adjustment is required.
1. Remove the R/H side cover from the top and base modules.
2. Carefully prise the black plastic bung out of the top of the vacuum mani-
fold (smaller left hand tube), taking care not to damage the plastic sealing
ring.
3. Insert the vacuum gauge, and secure it to the side of the machine for con-
venience.
4. On the 900-187c DigiVAC Air/Blow Control PCB, use switch LK3 to
switch on the motors (without starting the machine).
5. Check the vacuum pressure:
• For Serial Nos. up to DIG/0000149 this should be between -100 and
-130 mBar.
• For Serial Nos. DIG/0000150 onwards this should be -150 mBar.
3.6.3 Replacing the Vacuum Pump Motor
The vacuum pump for the DigiVAC is in the base module. If the pump
becomes worn or faulty, it will require replacing to resume machine operation.
Procedure
1. Disconnect the DigiVAC from the mains power supply.
2. Remove the L/H and R/H side covers from the base module.
3. If a DXJG jogger fitted, disconnect the electrical cables and remove the
DXJG from base module.
4. Undo the four orange retaining screws from the front outfeed conveyor.
5. Remove the front panel from the base module: Undo the four M5 cap
retaining screws from the sides of the panel. Undo the three retaining
screws from the front of the panel, raise the front outfeed conveyor and
remove the panel.

Note: To prolong the life of the vacuum motor it is recommended that the vacuum fil-
ters be regularly cleaned and replaced (see Section 3.5.9). At major service intervals,
where possible, clean the pump internally with a jet of compressed air to remove
dust.
