Wheel ring
A greater number of pulses per wheel rotation provides a more
accurate speed measurement. 250 pulses per 100 metres is the
minimum required value.
If you do not attain the desired number of pulses with the wheel sensor
against a part of the tractor, two types of wheel rings can be supplied:
•
wheel ring 350 mm,
•
wheel ring 420 mm,
The 420 mm size ring is divisible.
Wheel ring assembly
It is recommended that the front wheel of the tractor be removed in
order to mount the wheel ring.
Engage the parking brake of the tractor.
Loosen the wheel nuts at the front wheel by one turn.
Lift the wheel from the ground.
Support the font axle with a suitable support.
Remove the wheel nuts completely.
Remove the wheel and lay it down where it would be stable, with
the inner part facing you.
Mount the fastening bolts with the injection bushings and nuts on
the wheel ring.
A drilling jig is provided to ensure that the wheel can be well centred.
Slide the drilling jig over the ends of the bolts.
Place the rings on the inner side of the front wheel.
Centre the ring on the hole in the rim with the drilling jig.
Mark the bolt holes.
Drill the bolt holes in the rim.
Mount the wheel ring to the rim.
Mount the front wheel of the tractor.
Ensure that the weight of the tractor remains on the axle so that the
wheel can turn freely.
Remove possible oscillation in the wheel ring by shifting the nuts
and check nuts on the wheel ringbolts.
Fit the wheel sensor in the clamping bracket in such a way that the
middle of the wheel sensor lies against the middle of the wheel ring
cams.
Remove possible oscillation in the wheel ring with the nuts and
check nuts.
