automatic calibration
Working on smaller parcels
With low application rates and small parcel size, the time interval
between automatic calibration needs to be reduced.
See »Adapting auto-calibration to field size« on page 85 and
Working with very low application rate
If very low application rates are to be distributed, e.g. only a few
kilograms per hectare, the control system cannot perform automatic
calibrations. In that case, a limit must be set, below which automatic
calibration stops and the last value is used.
See »Automatic calibration limit« on page 84.
A manual calibration test could also be performed in order to
determine the correct dosing setting.
See section »Manually entered application rate« on page 119.
Working with low application rates
If the flow rate entered is less than 40 kg/min, use fine dosing. There
is a danger that the dosing openings could become clogged with low
flow rates. 2 of the 3 dosing openings can be closed of to prevent this,
while the remaining opening must be opened further.
See section »Fine application« on page 115.
The following is achieved with the fertiliser and spreading chart from
the example:
You will have an application rate of about 365 kg/ha with a working
width of 18 meters and a driving speed of 8 km/h with the dosing
setting at 42+3 (= 45). The relevant flow rate is 87 kg/min.
Enter a value of 18 on the main screen of the working width input
field.
Enter a value of 365 for the selected application rate in the input
field.
Press the key switch to go to the ‘Curve Calibration’ screen.
Enter a value of 45 for the dosing setting in the input field.
Enter a value of 87 for the flow rate in the input field.
The control system will now calculate the relevant discharge curve.
