GPS Antenna Installation Procedures
This section provides installation procedures for installing the GPS antenna.
Preparing to Install the GPS Antenna
Before beginning to install the antenna, determine a grounding scheme, and
consider the factors that affect the location and environment chosen for the antenna
installation. These factors are addressed in the warnings, cautions, and
recommendations that follow.
Caution:
To prevent damage to connectors, use caution while
pulling cable.
Note:
Follow local building electrical codes when installing the GPS
antenna.
Caution:
To avoid damage to the GPS antenna,
do not
place the
antenna where high-power radio signals are beamed directly at the
unit. Such signals can damage the preamplifier of the GPS antenna.
