Setting Up the Remote Terminal
The following terminal mode options can be changed by selecting
"Remote Terminal" under the "Comm" menu ( Figure 7-2 ):

Remote Session Time-out
This selects the time period that the
Model
2010D
allows after the last
keyboard
activity before
terminating
the remote
session and disconnecting.
When
the
session is terminated, the DTR line will
be dropped, causing an attached modem to
disconnect (that is, if it is set up to
handle DTR in this way, as described
earlier).
Real-Time Update Rate
Some screens, such as the status screen
and diagnostic screens, update the real-
time data at a one second rate on the
front panel, however this may be too
frequent for remote operation at lower
baud rates. This option allows the time
between screen refreshes to the remote
terminal
to be increased, without
affecting the update rate on the front
panel.
