3153 User Manual
Getting Started 1-10
If channel 3 is coupled to channel 1, this input is disabled and channel
1 triggers override the state of this input.
Stop Input
The stop input operates in conjunction with the trigger (1, 2 or 3) and
the start input. The stop input is sensitive to TTL level transitions. Slope
sensitivity is programmable for positive or negative edge. The stop
signal arms the 3153 to stop at the next breakpoint. When applied, the
sample clock is removed and the output waveform stops. A consequent
start signal at the start input resumes the generation of the output
waveform from the last point it has stopped.
The stop input is active in all operating modes, i.e. continuous, trigger
gated, etc., The stop input controls all three channels simultaneously.
Typical waveform which, has resulted from the use of the stop, start and
trigger inputs is shown in Figure 1-3.
Start Input
The start input operates in conjunction with the stop input. The start
input is sensitive to TTL level transitions. Slope sensitivity is
programmable for positive or negative edge. Transitions at the start
input cause the generator to continue the waveform from the last point
it has stopped. The start input is active only after a valid stop signal.
Following a stop signal at the stop input, the only signal that will unlock
this break is the signal at the start input.
The start input is active in all operating modes, i.e. continuous, trigger
gated, etc., The start input controls all three channels simultaneously.
Typical waveform which, has resulted from the use of the stop, start and
trigger inputs is shown in Figure 1-3.
