The start and stop inputs accept TTL level signals. The Model 3153
reacts to transitions – either positive or negative going.
The start and stop inputs affect the instrument in all of its operating
modes, i.e., continuous, triggered, sequence, etc. The sequence of
events to start and stop the waveform is as follows:
1. Select the channel you want to arm using the INST:SEL command.
2. Arm the active channel using the following command:
ARM {OFF | ON}
“ON” arms the generator and connects the start and stop inputs, “OFF”
disables the start and stop inputs.
The query:
ARM?
queries the state and returns “0" (OFF) or "1" (ON).
3. The next step is to select edge sensitivity. Use the following
commands to select the slope for the start input:
ARM:SLOPe {POSitive | NEGative}
